Assignment Presentation Exhibition: The City's Silent Witnesses

As the Balıkesir University Faculty of Architecture, we are hosting an exhibition of student project presentations titled “Silent Witnesses of the City: Mosques, Ablution Fountains, and the Clock Tower.”
This exhibition approaches mosques, ablution fountains, and clock towers—key components of our urban memory—not merely as architectural elements, but as landmarks that bear witness to the city’s history, culture, and daily life.
We believe that this event, realized through our students' research, observation, and presentation efforts, will make a meaningful contribution to architectural education by fostering the interpretation, documentation, and re-evaluation of local heritage.
