Faculty of Architecture External Stakeholder Meetings

On March 2, 2026, the Faculty of Architecture successfully held its external stakeholder meetings.
The meetings, aimed at strengthening the faculty's cooperation with public institutions, developing areas of collaboration, and evaluating projects that can be carried out on a regional scale, took place in a productive and constructive consultative environment.
The meetings included representatives from the Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality's Department of Urban Planning and Development, the Directorate of Urban Research, and the Department of Environmental Protection and Control, as well as comprehensive discussions with officials from the Balıkesir Planning and Development Agency.
The following topics were addressed during the meetings:
▪️ Urbanization policies
▪️ Sustainable environmental practices
▪️ Spatial planning processes
▪️ Integration of academic knowledge into local governments
▪️ Active student participation in application processes
These topics were discussed in a spirit of mutual exchange of ideas. A significant agreement was reached on developing joint projects, establishing technical and academic support mechanisms, increasing internship and practical training opportunities, and strengthening cooperation in R&D activities.
🎯 As the Faculty of Architecture, we are determined to continue developing sustainable, strong, and productive collaborations that will contribute to the development of our city and region.
It is considered that these meetings will lay a solid foundation for joint projects to be implemented in the coming period.
