Have you experienced the Zağnos Paşa Mosque and its surroundings?

Balıkesir University Department of Architecture held a student workshop titled “Talking Memory: Have You Experienced Zağnos Paşa Mosque and Its Surroundings? What Does Zağnos Paşa Mosque Tell You?” on May 13, 2025. The workshop, held at Balıkesir University, was conducted by Associate Professor Nihal Arda Akyıldız and Assistant Professor Elif Atıcı Tektaş with the participation of architecture students. Within the scope of the workshop, Zağnos Paşa Mosque and its immediate surroundings were examined on-site using approaches focused on spatial experience, memory, and perception, resulting in different readings and evaluations. The event concluded with sharing sessions that strengthened the students' relationship with the historical environment and made the stories told by the space visible.
