28 April 2026
As the Faculty of Architecture at Balıkesir University, we are pleased to announce the successful completion of the exhibition of assignments prepared by our students titled “Silent Witnesses of the City: Mosques, Fountains, and Clock Towers.”
This exhibition, which re-examines Balıkesir's architectural and cultural heritage through the eyes of our students, constitutes a valuable academic work in terms of urban memory, historical environmental awareness, and architectural representation skills.
We thank our Rector, Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu, and our senior administration for their participation in our exhibition; and we congratulate all the students and academic staff who contributed.
We hope that these works, shaped by our students' research, observations, and interpretations, will contribute to the recognition, understanding, and transmission of local architectural heritage to future generations.
